Easter 2024

Luckily Henry was game to still dye Easter eggs this year.

The Easter Bunny brought very similar baskets to Ralph and Henry.

Ralph: Eagle Board of Review

Ralph had turned in his Eagle Scout application mid-late February and received an email a few weeks ago that his Board of Review would be Thursday, March 28.

Outside of knowing there were 4 adults in his Board of Review I can't tell you much about it.  I was able to come in after he was done, the adults had a conference, and welcomed him back in to congratulate him.

Once paperwork is signed off at nationals he will officially be an Eagle Scout with a Court of Honor to follow in a few months or more.

Ralph and I and then Ralph and Scoutmaster Mark Huenink.

Ralph: Celebrating 16 years old!

16 years old?!!  No way.

That is a hard number to look at.  16 years of having a son.  16 years of being a mom.

Signs of becoming an adult are unavoidable.

A sophomore in high school . . three Diff classes, two AP classes along with Orchestra and Spanish 3/4 round out his class schedule.

His Eagle Board of Review is just over a week away.

+++++++++++++

We had a two hour window on Sunday to mark this milestone with Grandma and Grandpa with dinner, gift opening, and (cheese)cake.

When asked what kind of birthday cake he wanted this year, the reply was "cheesecake".  We opted for a plain cheesecake with various toppings to choose from - caramel, blueberry, pecan praline, and creme de mint (since we celebrated on St. Patrick's day).

This morning he drove to school!

Christmas

We did our traditional . . .open gifts at home then go to Grandma and Grandpa's for gift opening and dinner.

 . . .at Grandpa and Grandpa's . .

- Somehow Ralph escaped getting his photo taken much -
