Celebrating July 4th!

July 4th was a bit more "normal" this year!.

The day started with the boys donning their scout uniforms and putting up flags at the blood bank.

The parade returned after a years hiatus but was at 1 pm instead of the usual 11 am due to July 4th being on a Sunday which made us move "lunch with grandma and grandpa" to "supper with grandma and grandpa".  We packed a lunch and ate once we got to our spot at the parade. I didn't get many photos during the parade but here they are waiting for the parade to begin.

After flags were taken down we went to grandma and grandpa's for supper, the long standing water balloon toss tradition, and fireworks - both lighting off and viewing the ones in the area.

Grandma has always liked the tanks; Henry has an interest in wars and the tanks fit right into that -
he tried to get the tanks to battle each other.

Ralph had various fireworks to light; these are just the simples snakes which enjoyed lighting on fire.

Happy 4th!
