Oh Henry, my Henry!
Oh Henry.
I can't say much as changed in the past six months though some of his characteristics have become a bit more defined. Henry is as unique as they come. He can have a very thorough thought process; thinking of scenerios not many seven year olds would. His mind is always thinking - and he sometimes uses hand gestures when explaining "here's the thing."
He is enjoying baseball and wrestling this summer. He had a fun baseball game on Sunday and was showing more of his personality at wrestling on Monday night. He has been practicing the tripod and is developing some great core muscles. It may take him some time to get acclimated to various activities but watch out when he does!
He can still fit comfortably in size S (5/6) shirts; 6/7 shirts are too big. Shorts can either be size 6 or 7 (thanks to adjustable waists). Shoe size - 12C.
He ended the school year with another 2 in handwritting. At least he was consistent all year.
His eating habits remain similiar. Breakfast is usually 1 sausage link and 6 mini pancakes (serving size is 11 - there's room to grow but whenever we try to add minis they do not get consumed.). If it's the weekend he usually requests a burrito from Mike. If he needs to take a cold lunch somewhere it's usually a pb and (grape) j sandwich, cut up strawberries or a cup of madarin oranges, and a cookie - usually a chocolate chip cookie from the HyVee bakery. If he gets to pick his supper its either going to be Tyson chicken nuggets, a hot dog, or a Lunchable along with some fruit. We need to work on getting the vegetables into his diet more. Ice Cream is pretty standard after supper. A cheeseburger or chicken needs ketchup to dip them in. Chocolate milk is preferred to white.
His lost teeth count remains at 2. He does have a loose upper tooth but still may be a bit before that one falls out. He had a check up last week. He is still cavity free.
He continues to love to read . . at the table during meals, in the car, and even in a grocery cart while I'm shopping. It's really not worth the fight sometimes - and luckily he is still small for his size. I logged into Ralph's library account the other week so he could put some books on hold and he ended up putting over 20 Star Wars related books on hold. He is also into Magic Tree House, Nate the Great, and Geronimo Stilton.
He is still into legos as well as magna-tiles he received for Christmas. Between those two he can be quite creative buildiing towers, castles, jails, etc. He is also finding time to squeeze in some screen time this summer.
(Henry's official 7 1/2 birthday was 2 weeks ago)
