Henry: 11.5 years!

(time got away from me - no photo update)

Henry has spent the last few weeks adjusting to the summer schedule which is a bit more structured than Henry would like.   Last week he went to a wrestling daycamp; this week he'll be at a YMCA day camp which is now at a nearby elementary rather than at the Y.

He is now a "Scout" in scouts and working on his Tenderfoot Rank.  He has earned two merit badges so far (Citizenship in the World and Citizenship in the Nation).

In his free time you will find Henry on a screen - WiiU, Kindle, Chromebook, or a phone.

He does do chores when asked but only has a few routine chores.

His current pant size is a 10; shorts are 8 - both need either an adjustable waist or drawstring.  He is starting to wear L (10/12) shirts.  His shoes are size 2.5.

Breakfast usually consists of a breakfast burrito during the week; sometimes a crossiantwich ~ weekends are usually pancakes or french toast.  Cereal with milk is not part of his eating regime; dry cereal might be a snack.  He did select hot lunch for most of the school year; cold lunch choices during summer camps is usually a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Doritos (or Lays chips), an applesauce pouch, and chocolate chip granola bar.   Supper preferences are a hamburger or a chicken taco.

Yearly Checkups . . .

The boys had their yearly check ups in May a few weeks apart.

Ralph's appointment came just before the COVID vaccine was approved for those 12+; the doctor talked to him about the vaccine.  Overall he had a good, noneventful appointment - he measured 67.75" tall (>97%), weighed 119.4 lbs (77%) and his BMI was 18.3 (46%)

Henry's appointment came the day after school was let out for the year.  We talked about different strategies to try to keep the seasonal allergies under control at camp (and then they ended up not really being an issue luckily!).  Overall another good, noneventful appointment - he  measured in at 56" tall (31%), weighed 65.6 lbs (8%) and a BMI of 14.7 (5%).  He did receive 3 shots.  Next year we were encouraged to make his appointment earlier in the day and do a fasting cholesterol check since last years quick check was a bit high.
